As the state of Oklahoma recently celebrated it's 100th Anniversary of Statehood in 2007, Fairview Baptist Church marks the 118th year of our chapel facility. Enjoy the pictorial history...to see a larger image, click on the picture.
1892---Mrs. Liza Howdry Fisher taught school five days a week, and Sunday School class on Sundays.
1905---The church at
Danforth and old 77 Highway, known as
the 'Old Jack School.'
1931---The school was closed, and the church took over the building on a full-time basis. Between 35-60 people of many Christian denominations worshipped together each Sunday.
1992---The 100 Year Anniversary was
celebrated by Pastor Bill J. Blair, with Evangelists Jack Thompson and Mike
Hays.
