      Sunday School
We have a Sunday School class for everyone; starting with three year olds, there are specially designed classes for every age up through high school and college.  We currently have five different adult classes: Young Adults, Middle Age Adults, Senior's Class, Ladies Only, and an Open Class.  We also offer a New Member's Class once every quarter.
     Adults & Youth
There are many ways to be involved in activities at Fairview Baptist.  Our Senior's Ministry is very active, usually taking several outings per year.  The high school and college usually take a yearly trip to Six Flags, along with monthly SNAC (Sunday Night After Church) meetings.  For those who have completed Second Grade up through High School, we have great church camp weeks during June and July.  We also have:
Barnabas Ministry: This group writes notes of encouragement to our homebound members, visitors and absentees.  They also make personal visits to homebound members and hospital patients, and write letters of support to our military stationed overseas.
Timothy Ministry:  Our Youth and College age provide periodic help for our older members, such as doing odd jobs, mowing, or doing work on their cars.
Veteran's Fellowship:  This is a time when our military veterans can come together, and they provide services and mentoring for our younger families.

       AWANA

What is Awana?  The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, as taken from
2 Timothy 2:15.  Fairview Baptist has Awana programs that
meet on Wednesday nights for ages three through high school.

Awana is an international, Bible-centered children's and youth ministry providing local churches with the opportunity to reach kids, and their families, with the gospel of Christ, and train them to serve Him.

Awana began in 1950 as a youth program at the North Side Gospel Center in Chicago, Illinois. Lance Latham, the church pastor, worked with Art Rorheim to develop a program that would appeal to young people, reach them with the gospel and train them in the Lord’s work. Other churches heard about the success of the Awana program and asked if they could use it. By 1960, Awana had registered 900 churches to start Awana.  Today, more than 12,000 U.S. churches run Awana with programs in all 50 states. Awana can also be found in over 3,900 churches in 109 other countries and six continents.  (Click Here for the AWANA Website)

Evangelism Explosion Classes

Jesus told His disciples, “You will be my witnesses…!” Yet we often feel clumsy in explaining the truths of the Gospel. Our goal at Fairview Baptist Church is to equip God's people for “the work of ministry” [Ephesians 4:12].

Evangelism Explosion is a training program which trains a Christian to how to effectively tell others about the mission of Jesus and about the great offer in the good news of the Gospel … that “heaven is a free gift which cannot be earned or deserved!”

Evangelism Explosion
is a 13-week course which patiently demonstrates and teaches a clear outline of the Gospel message which can be explained in a two-minute summary or a two-hour discussion. The outline is supplemented with highly effective illustrations, and trainees are taught how to adapt the EE presentation to fit their own personal style.

By the time you complete the EE course, you will be able to confidently:
¨Build a bridge of friendship to someone who is unchurched
¨Ascertain what people believe about how to get to heaven
¨Articulate the Good News briefly and succinctly
¨Craft a Gospel presentation which fits your personalilty
¨Answer common objections to the Christian faith
¨Guide an unbeliever to receive Christ as Savior

Originally developed by Rev. D. James Kennedy, Evangelism Explosion has enabled thousands of Christians to become the witnesses whom Jesus said we would be and should become.

COURSE DETAILS:
¨The Evangelism Explosion course is a series of 13 week lessons.
¨A complete set of course materials is provided.
¨Each person receives weekly personal tutoring from an experienced EE trainer.
¨Over the 13 weeks, trainees are given many opportunities to observe the EE presentation being given, eventually presenting the entire Gospel presentation themselves.
